About Laquila Ecosystem

Laquila Ecosystem is an independent editorial site for people starting and running small companies with as little overhead as they can get away with. We were founded in 2025 by a group of solo operators tired of "how to start a business" content that reads like a brochure for whichever service is paying that week.

What we cover

The unglamorous middle of company-building: choosing a legal structure, incorporating, opening a business bank account, staffing your first year with a mix of software and contractors, and figuring out the exact moment it makes sense to put a human on payroll.

How we test

• We use every service we review inside a real business — usually one of our own — before publishing.
• We pay full retail wherever we can, and disclose it when a vendor provides a discount or comp.
• We track concrete outcomes (time to incorporate, cost per year, hours saved) rather than vibes.
• We publish our testing notes so you can judge our methodology.
